The Admissions Department handles student enrollment requests for Louisiana School for the Deaf (LSD) and Louisiana School for the Visually Impaired (LSVI). Requests typically originate with parents or the Local Education Agency (LEA).
The Records Department maintains educational records for current and former LSD and LSVI students. These student records are maintained in accordance with all applicable federal and state guidelines, including Bulletin 1706.
For all records requests, an authorization form must be completed, signed by the student's parent/guardian (or the student, if he/she is age 18 or older) and submitted to the Admissions and Records Office.
